Jeppesen en route charts - plotting

As per a Jeppesen Briefing bulletin, they have removed the "north indication" off the en route charts now as "it is no longer needed for manual plotting".

Now, I have what is (now) the old Jeppesen ruler, and this *north* was used to readout bearings off the chart.

Is there a new method now? If so, anybody care to throw some light on it?

PS: I have observed on the en route charts that they don't come with a north indication anymore.
