Pilot Shadowing

Ok, at the risk of being shot down and called stupido I am going to ask a question. Does the UK offer any 'Pilot Shadowing' opportunities? Before anyone asks, yes I do know what a pilot does, but I believe the US offers these ops and would like to pursue this route. I do work at the moment and have a full security check but not sure what else I need to do, if indeed the UK offers such opportunities - im pretty sure it doesnt but worth an ask anyway.

Shadowing

I too looked for this route many years ago, and found it a dead end. I don't think it's done in the UK, and as you referred to security clearance it's unlikely it could ever be a goer.

The only thing close would be a cadet ship where you work in other departments and eventually finish up in the right hand seat. Jet2 offer this to a few people, and highland and Atlantic used to. Some others may do to but I don't know who.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your help! Its good to know that other people have tried and got to a dead end.
I will explore the cadet ship and see where that takes me.....

Thanks again - appreciated.
