Yes this is another BA question, so click back now if you're really not interested but at least read a bit!
I applied for BA's sponsorship back in February and failed at the application form stage unfortunately. However a heck of a lot has changed since then; i.e. graduated, have the class 1, have a decent team job, have done aptitudes that say I 'could' do it, have more flying hours (albeit gliding). THE POINT IS, would there be any harm in attempting to apply again before the 12 month wait is over? i.e. explaining this and asking nicely, is the 12 months rule rigid etc. I was just wondering if anybody had done anything similar.
That said, I shall be calling tomorrow anyway. I just wanted peoples opinions/experiences, they would all be useful.
I'm not too sure about whether or not BA will send another form out to you, having already failed once in the 12months, but my advice to you would be to never give up. With determination you can achieve anything! Phone up BA Recruitment and make enquiries...it can't hurt! Good luck
I thought you only had to wait 12 months if you got through to the aptitudes stage and failed. After all it does say have u attened a recruitment session in the last 12 months.
Yes I thought the same until I was informed by both the application hotline and Mary Brown that the twelve months applies no matter what stage you get too.
I don't like that policy, but from a business point of view I can understand it as it reduces the number of applications they have to process.
When I attented my aptitudes I was told: "The waiting time is 12 months from the date of rejection, regardless of where you failed"
...afterwards she mentioned that since the application form assessing stage takes a while, if you wait for that whole year and then send your form, you will effectively be waiting for 14 months, so it's a good idea to send the application form in at 10 months.
GRRRR - This keyboard making it post before I even type!!!! Start again...
Yes I thought as much, but there was no harm in trying. Still mighty annoyed to have failed at the first hurdle. But asking nicely after 10 months certainly seems a good plan. Of course there is always Air2k...
Thanks for replying all, much appreciated.
