Australia/Malaysia/South Africa Choice?

Hi there,

I wanted to get some information and recommendations on where to go for my PPL/CPL/ATPL training.

I have been looking at these flying clubs and am confused on where to go for my training.

Basair Australia
HM Aersospace Maylasia
43 Air School South Africa

As you can tell I have options of going to one of these, although I would like to get a feedback from people with experience as it seems choosing a Flight School is harder than I thought. I am also confused about JAA/CAA and which license to go for. I plan on working in ASIA or Canada after my training. I don't think conversions for licenses can be such a problem, can it?

I would really like some helpful feedback on how to proceed. Are there any better schools than the ones mentioned above providing excellent training with high standards?

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with the 43rd Air School personally, but I've heard it's very impersonal. You are treated like a number and don't really form that friendly bond with instructors as you may do at other schools. There are plently of good flight schools in South Africa, have a look around. Google is a good place to start

Hey if you want to work in canada or asia then go for canadian licence but do not go to AUSTRALIA at all you will be paying six times more than you will be paying in canada then you will never get the job here in australia as you are from Islamabad pakistan they will keep failing you for generating revenue for themself untill you or your sponsor are bankrupt. So my advice do yourself a favor pack your bags and go to canada. Here you will be robbed AUSTRALIA is DAYLIGHT robbery governemt is turning into MAFIA here. Every single move you make you pay them fortune. thats my advice its up to you. Canadian traing is far much better than australian you get all weathers in canada and here you always get ****ty weather all weathers will give you good handling dont get robbed.

Opposite to what that guy said...MFS (Moorabbin Flying Services) at moorabbin in Melbourne.

Plenty of good weather here but sometimes shy weather is just what u need when u do your IFR! MFS planes are all brand new, glass cockpits brand new sim, best rates in Victoria, charges the Seminoles at flight switch time (find me a school in Canada that does that) Got my CPL and MECIR in 10 months.

If you spent less time winging, maybe you would have been able to concentrate on studying instead? Just a thought!

@ nastyevil110

I don't know how many times you failed or you are from Ausi....

@ rashidn

But I have been trained from Tristar Aviation Melbourne which i think one of the best schools out in Ausi... I took 13 months from 0 to Frozen ATPL.... You may be paying a bit or way more than Canada or USA.... But the license you get really worth it.... Unfortunate news is that Airlines outside America and Canada are not gonna accept FAA license anymore....

I personally will suggest you with MFS or Tristar in Melbourne though the weather is all day around.

If you are more concern about weather go for Perth but no idea about the schools in there though...
