Are you intrested in a school in the UK or somewhere else?

If you're searching in the UK you can find severals, but for what I know the best ATPL distance course, is at Bristol Ground School...

Aye, not too many people will dissagree with that, Bristol are excellent.

You do get cheaper courses elsewhere and the brush up course of 2 weeks each module + the 1 week for exams doesnt quite suit everyone, (work commitments and the like), but if you can get the 3 weeks off then bristols by far the best way to go.

shop around though, theres a few schools (oxford, cabair, cranfield, bournmouth etc...) and you might find that the price and the course structure suits you better.

The training material with Bristol is top class and the online material is excellent. If your stuck on any concepts theres animations that help you understand.

Ive heard very good things about all the schools though, just pick what suits you mate!

Good luck

Dougie.

Can someone who has been through the 5 of the exams sign up for remainder 9? I am tired of studying off of the question bank.

Actually I tought there was a limit of the number of sitting you can take each time... But I had a look on LASORS and JAR-FCL 1 Subpart J, and they don't mention anything about it...

Anyway you better ask your FTO... They have to sign you application form, and they might not be happy to sign 9 sittings for you...

Good luck for your exams, keep it going... It's just a matter of months...

Amcapt,
I should have been a bit more clear about my status..

I completed the course in Turkey in 2001. I just don't have the time and resources to sit through a course, so the need for the online version. I want to study at my own pace.

I live in US and have to take the exams in Turkey. I don't need the signature , approval or whatever you want to call it from the Bristol guys.. I just hate the way the Turkish people take these exams : they memorize them.. I want to study..

I understand mate... In the UK we have a good question database too... But on my opinion it's just a good help to revise and to have an idea on JAA question type.

Unfortunatly someone will use it as a bible and learn all the answers by heart.

Hello, Zimpilot,

If the price matter then consider the possibilities of Oxford Aviation Academy. It is very good brand, provide high level of education and not expensive! - 1200GBP, OAA distant training course + two brush-ups by 950GBP each.

And contact me, if you need ATPL flight training - time building/IFR/MEP/NVFR/CPL, etc for ATPL for 17.000Eur

Does that mean a total of £3,100? Seems quite pricey to me.

Cheers

And is that excluding exam fees and VAT as well?

It might be really pricey by then...

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I have decided to BGS. I called them a couple of days ago and they were very helpful. I am looking forward to receiving my study materials soon.
