How much study time for FAA ATP?

Hi Guys,

I have a COM/IR (NZ/AUS) and 3000hrs + commercial flying.

I plan to got to the states to do my FAA ATP and wonder if anyone can give an idea of how much pre-test self-study and prep (in terms of hours) would put me in a good position to get a good pass. Also, is it worth doing any classroom study there or is this just a waste of time and money??

Look forward to any advice!

Cheers
Blue

PS - I have the 2012 ASA test-prep and question software bundle.

Hi Porridge,
Did you use the ASA stuff and 'learn' the question bank?? Presumably, you got a good pass?
Cheers
