XPDR and class of airspace

Can anyone tell me if you need to have a transponder in class B airspace or any airspace for that matter? I know about the two-way communication, but does that include the xpdr??

thanx!

Sure, Class B you need to squawk mode C.

Some places around the world have different requirements for other classes, but I dont know of anywhere that you dont need one for class B or A.

Nor, come to think of it, can I name anywhere that requires it for class G.

I dont understand why you would want to go flying without a transponder in the first place...
