Easa medicals........

Hello I have just rejoined Prune after a long break. I wonder if anyone n assist/advise. I used t hold a full PPL licence but stupidly I told my AME I had a medical problem and they pulled my licence. So I went down the NPPL road and have flown that way since. I now live in Spain and because I wanted to fly Spanish registered gliders so I got a Class 2 Espana medica. So I thought I might as well get my PPL back as well. The medical section at CAA wont give me itback as they say the medical has to be in the same country as the licence was issued. Spent a lot of money doing what they asked and they still wont give me a EASA British licence which wou obviously allow me to fly in Europe too. I have just had my medical renewed which was fine. After next April I think you need EASA lice So do I persist with CAA or change over my power and gliding to be Spanish? I thought EASA was supposed to make things easier!!!!a
