What we need are more big open grass field type airports, so you just land and take off straight into wind, just like Spitfires in WW 2. I landed at Sunderland many years ago ( before it was a car factory) in winds around 35 knots in my Jodel. Approaching the field they said to land straight into wind across the grass if I preferred. I did, and then waited for wing walkers to help me taxi in.

Nice idea but I'm more worried about there being any airfields at all.
We seem to manage ok with long thin grass strips. Easier to mow, cheaper to buy, tend to be longer.
