F300 Flight Recorder ......
Evening Everyone,
I have just brought a 2nd hand F300 flight recorder, it's the 1 in this link flyWithCE Flight Recorder but i seem not to be able to get it to work on my laptop or desktop, my laptop is running Windows XP and my desktop is running Windows 7, 64bit .
Can any give me advice on what i am doing wrong !!

1. XP is not supported. Should be OK on Win 7.
2. You need to download different software items depending on the device's serial number. First the device driver and then the logbook application. Early ones used a PL2303 driver. Later ones use VCP driver.
Remember when you plug it into your PC it will get a green light to say it is charging - but it will not work with the PC unless you turn it on to get the blue light.
If you plugged it in and switched it on before installing the right driver package you may need to go into Windows Device Manger to sort it out. Try the obvious first.
