calling all Bonanza or BE55 Baron owners in UK

I'm interested in purchasing a late 80's/early 90's Bonanza to keep in the UK (Scotland/North England). Having never owned one, I'd welcome any advice on the on-going running costs to keep a Bonanza.
I receognise this is hugely ambiguous question but, at this point, I'd be interested in any anecdotal information on any variety of Bonanza of the age range in question. That would include rough averages on annuals, engine overhauls, ongoing (expected) maintenance, 50hr/100hr checks, consumables, etc. For example, based upon 100 flying hours per year, allow for £250/hr on average over 5 years, plus hangarage/parking & insurance.
Any insight on the (expensive) weak points to watch for during the purchase/ownership would also be appreciated, as would the contact details of knowledgable mechanics who could reliably perform engine maintenance and/or a pre-purchase survey.
If anyone out there owns a BE55 Baron, I'd also be interested in the equivalent information. Is there a rule of thumb for running costs of a Baron in units of Bonanza? I.e. a Baron would be 1.5, or 2.0, or 3.0 times as expensive in terms of on-going running costs.

You should register for the Beech Talk website. It's a great forum and has the biggest concentration of Beech owners, perhaps GA pilots even, in the world. There you'll be able to get very precise info about each model, maintenance costs, years to avoid - everything etc.
