Charter in Spain LELL

Hello everybody,

I'm lucky enough to be in Barcelona quite often and would like to take the opportunity to fly there as well.

The Aeroclub in LELL confirmed on the phone that it's members only and don't charter. And they don't know of any charter offers at the airport.

Does anybody have any experience renting down there?

Thanks!

Happy Landings,
Alexander

If Sabadell is not an absolute requirement (perhaps you stay close by?) you could get in touch with the Club Aeronautic Catalunya at Hostalric field. Club Aeronautic Catalunya - Inicio

Hi Jan,

thanks for the info! I didn't even know there was a field in Hostalric I'll give them a call! I'm based ~40km south of Barcelona, so Sabadell, being the big GA airport in the region, seemed straightforward for me.

Maybe Igualada could also work, but from what I've heard they don't have fuel at the field.

Best Regards,
Alexander

Another source of info:

Federació Aèria Catalana

Also: the more one goes south, the wider the discrepancy between theory and practice. Less things are organised, more things can be arranged. Much as this may be annoying to some people... I cannot speak for Spain, liking that country but little, but have certainly found so in Italy, and I believe there must be some similarity.
So if you have heard such and such field does not have fuel, have your plan B ready - but do wonder what the local pilots fill their tanks with.
