vor/ loc/ILS question

I assume most Nav receivers are like mine and have 2 inputs, one for the vor antenna and one for the glide slope , which receiver picks up the Localiser signal the vor or GS receiver ?

Another question, is the associated GS frequency spacing different in the uk than the US, the reason I ask is I have bought a Vor/loc/ils for the aircraft and also just got a Yaesu FTA750L handheld receiver also equipped with vor/loci/ils when on a practice a approach to an ILS both pick up the localiser but neither get the glideslope, seems to much of a coincidence. Any thoughts ( and yes I was on the glide path)

Never heard of or observed a difference in LOC and GP frequency pairing between UK and USA.

I did not think so either , but can't figure out why in the hell neither totally independent GS receivers will pick up a signal

If this was on one particular ILS and not on several different ones, it may just be that the GS is U/S.

I asked the tower if they had a reported outage and they said no, I have had 2 tries at it on different evenings, I went to another airport with an ILS ( a military one) and the only difference was on the handheld I got the little GS bars but they remained fully up (showing under) and never moved regardless even when I climbed thru the glide path, it's got me baffled

The Glideslope frequences are in the UHF Band 329.150- 335MHz; now according to the Yaesu Manual this feature is only available in the FTA-750 model, so presumably it is not in the FTA-750L!
