Flying to France

Would anyone be able to recommend a good resource for French regulations for GA pilots? In particular, what do you need to carry in the (G-reg) aircraft for a short cross-channel flight, since I gather some requirements are particular to the French.
Thanks!

Off the top of may head the only unusual requirements for France are;

A PLB /ELT.

There is also a not frequently enforced rule regarding mode c (min) transponders in Class D. Mode S requirements are allegedly on the way.

I thought ELT is mandatory now all over EASA land? Also, you might get along with class C XPDR, but to my knowledge you need explicit clearance when going through TMZ/C/D, as transponder mandatory now equals mode-s in Europa.

The example I had in mind was a dinghy - it's not mandatory by UK rules to have one for short crossing (only 100nm from land as far as I can see) but I'm told the French authorities require one

the French authorities require one
Then 95% of the G registered aircraft on the apron at Le Touquet on a sunny summer's day will be illegal!
