ANY FLIERS FROM EGNF(netherthorpe)
I fly from Netherthorpe and am often told the runway's are much smaller than your average runway. I have thought this a good thing, if you can land on short runways, this can only help.
I assume their must be plenty more challenging farm strips around though etc..?

Won't do you any harm. I was at Neth the other day. Have to say I wasn't impressed with the circuit discipline. Aircraft taking off and landing on any runway in any direction. Looked decidedly dodgy to me. Caff is good though, had one of the breakfast rolls. The runways anywhere are only short if the aircraft you are flying can't land or take off from them...:-)
