My NPPL licence has microlight and SSEA ratings on it, if I change it to an LAPL both aircraft will be covered by the SEP rating, when it comes to revalidation is it still the same as the NPPL, 12 take off and landings 1 hr with an instructor and an hr at least flight in the second rating on the licence.

The LAPL doesn't have Class Ratings like other Licences, nor does it have fixed periods of validity, rather it has a rolling 2 year validity period:

(a) Holders of an LAPL(A) shall only exercise the privileges of their licence when they have completed, in the last 24 months, as pilots of aeroplanes or TMG:
(i) at least 12 hours of flight time as PIC, including 12 take-offs and landings
AND
(ii) refresher training of at least 1 hour of total flight time with an instructor
