Nottingham Tollerton

Has Tollerton changed owners? I have not been for ages but noticed more publicity in the press.

Who is the CFI now and the management team? I thought it needed a bit of TLC last time I was there.

Nice job now though.

The management of the airfield reverted to the owners, who bought the airfield from the Council a few years ago, upon Derick Leatherlands retirement late last year.

I don't know the CFI, as I only hangar my aircraft there, but the staff I deal with are always enthusiastic and helpful. The place is in the process of being spruced up a bit too.

Went there a few weeks ago. Very nice place with helpful and enthusiastic staff. I will certainly return.

I've been to Nottingham quite a few times recently and I have to say the new management has been a breath of fresh air. In fact I stopped visiting under the old regime.

Its still a bit sad to see the faded glory of the place butI very much hope they can turn things around. I've always thought the place has some real potential if developed properly.

Tollerton

Tollerton has improved greatly, fantastic cafe and everyone friendly these days. However with the new hospital on site I'm not sure about the future, maybe it's the first stage of selling off the airfield. There is a new hangar being built, which on the face of it is good news, but it's only temporary until further development takes place.

Love Tollerton, no nonsense cheap & cheerful café, friendly ATC, cheap fuel, and free landing if you upload 50Ltrs+. Always like to pop in whenever I can.
