Thumbs up "AIRCRAFT IN UNIFORM" FLY-IN, SANDOWN, Sunday 31 July 2011

There will be an 'AIRCRAFT IN UNIFORM' fly-in at SANDOWN, Isle of Wight on Sunday 31 July 2011 and an open invitation is made to all aircraft types still displaying Military Markings, and that can safely operate from Sandown, to make the trip across the Solent.

The first 20 to arrive on the day will pay no landing fees (courtesy of the Britten Norman Group who now operate the airfield).

There will be a conducted tour around the Airframe Assemblies factory to see Spitfires undergoing rebuilds.

Local Military and Vintage Vehicles will be on display and awaiting your inspection.

Carla's Cafe will be open and serving the now well known excellent food and drinks.

So, come on and meet friends and have a good day out.

And the bad news - still no aviation fuel on the Isle of Wight. But we are trying.

See you there
