Op Pegasus

Plod-u-like called this morning inviting me to the launch of Op Pegasus. A coordinated approach (UKBA/CAA/Port Police) to policing GA in parts of East Anglia.

Anybody know more about this?

Is it a limited local initiative?

I have doubts to its effectiveness, notwithstanding that - I feel that there is no real danger from UK GA flying schools training a bunch of fundamentalists to spear airliners into tall buildings.

As for people trafficking or the movement of contraband - I think that boats and vehicles are probably more capable but not as sexy as aircraft.

I await my invitation pack!
