Cusco it would seem to me that the cheapest deal for you with the 8.33 is the king KX165A at about £2650 you will also require a 12 to 28V transformer at about $500 all +VAT.

You may also need a new indicator, if you post your presant radio equipment list including the indicators i can give you some more help and perhaps save you some money.

Question

A & C, We have a group meeting scheduled for Thursday evening and on the agenda is FMI. Some are proposing replacing our present King Navcomm box 1 with a Garmin 430. We have an Arrow 4 with all the usual IFR kit.

I can't seem to get a consensus on what this will cost us. Any idea what we could be looking at all in? I understand you need to buy and install the 430 and add an extra, dual power source. Is that correct?

Arrow 2
It can cost you anything between £6500-£7500 all included.
Don't take the first quote, when time comes email and I will tell you which was the lower cost. If you have King Nav/Coms with KNS80 I know that you can fit a filter at a cost of £1000-£1500. I think that I saw it on an add. of Gatwick Avionics or the company that is based at Liechester (spelling?).
