Another first solo

I know I should really be posting yet another 'first solo' thread but what the heck!

First solo this afternoon so I'm a happy little bunny.
I said at the last Gatbash I'd go solo before the next one....I'm still claiming that one!

Coupled with the bronze I got in a fencing comp a week or so ago, its been a good month!!

Liam, did it at Hawarden.
To be honest, went a lot better than I expected, well despite telling ATC I was ready for departure while still on the apron!!

Most people have told me tales of being terrified from the moment their instructor steps out but I rather enjoyed the whole thing.
Was helped by there being only a 4 knot wind which was straight down the runway

yeah good conditions certainly helped me on my first one last week. Then I did 30mins more a couple of days ago when the wind was a lot more noticeable, my last two landings were no where near as good. I think my approach was a little fast which spoiled the touchdown.

Good luck with rest of your flying.
