Flying near Las Vegas
I'm heading out to Las Vegas in December to attend a friend's wedding. As I'm going over without the family I thought it would be a great opportunity to get some decent flying in at the same time.
Does anyone have experience of civilian flying facilities or schools within a couple of hours drive of the Strip?
Ideally, I'd like an experience along the lines of the P-51 flights offered by Stallion 51 in Florida or something else vintage but would appreciate any ideas or advice.

Vegas is a busy place with a lot of delays. You might try out of Boulder City, instead. Depends how far you want to travel. St. George Utah isn't too far away, there are rentals and schools there, it's a lot less busy, and you're not far from the Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce, too. (Zion and Bryce canyons--national parks--are best visited on the ground, in my opinion). Otherwise, North Las Vegas, or Henderson.
I've lived in Vegas four times now, and absolutely hate the place.
