GA friendly field near Frankfurt

Hi,

I'm going to Frankfurt in a few weeks. Anyone have any tips for a GA friendly field with good connections/easy access to central Frankfurt?

Thanks in advance.

3Y,
EDFE it has got to be, busy and friendly; tucked away just south of the EDDF control zone. I don't know if you're planning an IFR or VFR trip but if it's VFR the airspace is pretty busy and the proximity of the EDDF CTR imposes its own constraints. Egelsbach's webpage ( http://www.egelsbach-airport.com/1index.html) has a pretty nifty virtual display of the approach / departure procedures.
Plus the cafe / restaurant on the field is fantastic.

Thanks,

Egelsbach it is then.... and yes the little 'films' or the approaches/departures are great. I just hope when I get there that the sky is pink, just like in the film.

Last time I went in it was short too, and that was in a Citation 1. It was about 8 years ago though, and I believe they've extended the runway since then. It was less than 1000 metres when I went.
