Aircraft flies into power cables on approach to Kidlington
BBCi report but was able to land at Kidlington - incident seems to have taken place in the evening of the 28th Nov.
According to
Thames Valley Police the incident took place at 1915 28th Nov.

I'm a regular pilot in and out of Oxford and I can't possibly see how they could have hit the power cables unless they were carrying out some very very low (and thus breaking noise abatement procedures) approaches on to 19. Sounds foolish to me.
