Hi Robin. Try right clicking on the link above and selecting "Save Target As......" Save it to your desktop or somewhere easy to find.

Hi Skydriller. The Swiss video is unavailable at the moment, there could be a number of reasons for this. Perhaps grow45 could look into it a bit more for us and let us know if it is still available or something.

When I right click it using Opera, it just downloads a web-page.

Swiss video link:

The URL in the original post is not correct. Here is one that should work for you.

BTW, its a good vid -- well worth the download! Big thanks to grow45 for posting it!

New video up of us doing a trip down from Pretoria to Durban (this weekend when the bokke thrashed the ausies ) with a C177RG. We tried some interesting things like passing through the Jhb TMA and thus I tried to get as much of the voice on the video.

Get it HERE (63mb)

Swiss Gliding Video

NC Steve

Downloaded it, but it is asking for a codec, so has to connect to the net before watching it. Then when the codec is finished all I get is 3 minutes of music - no video

Any advice?????

Hi Robin,
Sorry, no advice here -- it worked for me without having to install any new codecs. Good luck!

Try downloading the codec pack I provided a link to on the previous page of this thread.

Hopefully that should fix the problem!

Hi,

What a massive takeoff roll for a PA28! I take it it was really boggy grass or something like that?

Good to see someone posting on this thread again, it has kind of gone stale the last couple of months

Good luck with the flying Karl, quite an achievement at 15 years old!

Smile Long take of roll

I don't think the conditions were bad, I remember the weather being quite cloudy so whether they had any rain which would of affected the takeoff. We did have 1 large adult passenger and 3 adolesent teenangers on aboard to contribute to weight!

Thanks

Flew to Binga, Zimbabwe to do some tiger fishing on the Cariba dam for 6 days. Used 2 C210's for the 8 person party. 2 guys drove a truck up with all the baggage and some extra go go juice for the planes. The clip is 70mb and 9:30 long

Tried that - but still only get the audio not the video. It also seems only to want to dial-in on-line and not run it off-line

Any ideas?

geez, no idea actually, anyone else having this problem or let me rather ask, anyone able to watch the video?

You could try to install Microsoft Mediaplayer 10 or if that URL don't work, ie they don't allow direct links goto Download page

Hope that get you guys sorted

Thje link given by Christo above in the first reply fixed it for me. Once DivX is installed Windows Media Player 10 played the clip OK.

Looks like you guys enjoyed your trip!

Its a bit tame but on the up side its only 4mb. This was only the second visitation to this airstrip in Warwickshire by a fixed wing hence the video.

Please cut and paste the link below.

Thanks Christo - the upgrade to media player worked fine. I still can't deal with video recorders so computers are a mystery to me
