I recently completed My IMC (Instrument Meteorology Conditions) as part of my PPL
The training included ILS Approaches which i did into EGCN Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
This film is edited highlights of the take off, transit to the NDB then outbound & localizer capture to the glide-slope then approach to 200 feet then depart.
My Instructor is Ray Price CFI at Sandtoft EGCF.
Film was done using Nflight Contour GPS Camera.

I feel sorry for the poor sod standing on the ground in that wind in that last vid... Must've been a very dedicated fan!

A dedicated fan! No - just a not very bright employee standing at the start of the strip and wondering why aeroplanes were racing towards him.

He had been told to take a vehicle down to keep out of the 25kt wind but decided to walk down and stand exactly where he'd been told not to! Normal for Norfolk, really!

He wouldn't have felt the cold - I doubt that his synapses transmit as far as his extremities. Bloody good with muck-tines on the big John Deere though, rarely knocks buildings down or injures the cattle!

Flight over the Alps, FL150

MP4 video here.

Should play fine with VLC media player, or the Apple Quicktime player.

File size 50MB.

I have a bunch of videos of landings at various European airports from the cockpit of a B737.

Like Gatwick:

B737 landing London Gatwick LGW/EGKK RWY 26L - YouTube

Some of the videos (like Funchal, Samos & Dalaman and more to follow) have text commentary and will guide you through the approach.

Enjoy,
