Yet another creation.. this time from Courchevel, France, where after 360 hours I felt like a rookie again - in good hands of Robert Christin.

Hi Dufo,

Your vid looks good (and I really want to come out that way next year for some flying), though I am having a slight problem with playing it....

The bottom half of the image is totally distorted yellow/orange, for the entirety of the film. Ive tried downloading it a couple of times, and each time I get the same thing. Im using Media Player to view it and have all the latest MS updates, your vid is the only one I have played with this problem.....

Anyone have any ideas? Im quite prepared to believe that its something Im doing and not your vid, but just wondered....

Regards, SD..

Skydriller, I have looked at the video and there are no problems with it here. Must be something your end.

BRL,

Thanks for the reply, the effect Im getting is as if the tracking is wrong on a video player, the bottom half of the image is distorted/coloured such that I cant really see the vid properly. Incidentally I get the same thing when trying to play with Power DVD Media, so I think maybe the file is affected somehow when Im downloading it....

Anybody have any Ideas?

Regards, SD..

Question aeros

Hey guys and girls,

I was wondering if any of you knew where to find decent aeros clips on the net like the haute voltige one.
The real thing being to expensive at the moment I'll have to make do with video...

Dufo,

Nice work. Brings back memories of my recent trip to the French Alps.

Heres a little one I made last year whilst doing my Heli PPL/CPL

http://www.leeburling.com/mpegs/Cali...s_net_mpeg.wmv

Loads of other clips on there if you want to browse and look.

Some are better downloading and viewing rather than buffering.

All done with pinnicle Studio nine and a Sony PC 120 Digital handycam.

DubTrub, try Magix movie editer- it converts most formats. Retails around £35 @ PCWorld type places. Pretty easy to use too.
or if you're in the UK I could try doing it for you.
PM me

Personal Flying videos!

Tagged on to the end of a Humungous thread about flying videos and it was far too long to go through completely!

Some of the Links are out of date or not available and it would be great to see other peoples adventures during these dark cold winter months!

I thought it would be good to post some films but also let people know where they were shot so they can see what it is like to fly there. Bit of a travel guide for the aviator!

I will Start off with...

California in 2003. Flying mostly around the Long beach area in Fixed wing Cessna and Pipers. Some IFR and Cross country flying over Mojave, Loughlen, Sun Valley and en-route San-Fransisco. The Start was out of Perris Sky diving Club.

http://www.leeburling.com/mpegs/Cali...on%20small.mpg

Next is a Helicopter video Flying Out of Long Beach 2005. Up to Dana Point Just past John Wayne Internetional. Lovely views. Lots of beaches and some shots of Long beach Airport and some interesting Aircraft.

http://www.leeburling.com/mpegs/Cali...s_net_mpeg.wmv

Again Long beach 2005 But longer video with Cross country to Boulder City and Loughlen in R22. Kingman Airforce base, Blythe, Avi Sequia, Santa Barbara, Hollywood Hills. Night flights over LA.

http://www.leeburling.com/mpegs/We%20wont%20get%20fooled%20again!%20smaller.mpg

All film shot with sony PC 120 digital handycam and edited on Pinnicle Studio 9.

Would like to see any vids of Florida flying as i will be going there in early 2007!

Flash!

Here's a small movie I've posted about flying through clouds. Notice the difference in darkness above and below the clouds...
