U.A.E. Bash

Ladies and Gentlemen, Pruners and Shanyheads,

I would like to propose a U.A.E. Bash, provisionally for the last week in May, at Barracuda:Barracuda Beach Resort

What are your thoughts?

P.S. when you look at the site, ignore the crap music.

More info

Oh, I forgot to mention, for those of you who don't already know, Barracuda Beach Resort is also code for "Barracuda" - BIG aircraft hangar full of every Hydrocarbon style "Refreshing Beverage" from every country you can think of. Just Next door! I know how pilots like to study these sorts of things!

Ignore the sewerage smell

Just "down" the road from my pad.

Keep me in the loop.

Shame Barracuda International Airport has closed, cos we could have the fly in too..

Ah, I take it you are talking about Umm Al Quwain Aero Club. Do they not operate any more?

Im looking to start my PPL but cant seem to find the right school, or atleast somewhere that wont have me sitting in my car for a long time from RAK.

Al Ain

You may want to look into Horizon in Al Ain.

I imagine living expenses would be cheaper (than Dubai or Abu Dhabi) in general too....... Certainly less stress.

Good luck!

I`ve been over there a few times, its always been completely dead and their web site says that they have a total of 16 destinations served by 4 airlines. The only figures I checked were for 2011 when Al Ain shows 1925 movements for the year!
Even 120 pax per hour seems a bit optimistic as they at least on Gcaa stats they appear to be pushing almost 6 flights a day.

UAE Bash great success

A full turnout, and the pool was full.

Great evening, great company, and rather nice food and drink.

Thanks guys, really enjoyed your company.

I hope everyone got home safe and sound.

Ditto above, good food drink and company. I can't remember the name of the Lady involved with Sim. manufacturing. would like to go and tour the production facility, if an opportunity comes up.
