Flight departure time changed, costs will probably be incurred
Just has my flight departure changed in July from mid morning to late afternoon. This means additional costs for me to change my car hire booking and also an additional overnight hotel stay due to a later arrival. Any idea i can claim anything back from the airline concerned ? I'm guessing as this isn't a significant change my chances are slim....

But it set me thinking -. Years ago to travel anywhere was a bit of an adventure - you traveled in the hope but not the expectation that things would go according to plan. You built in contingenncy time, actions and cash.
These days we assume it will all go off as planned, with nary a glitch. But it doesn't.
