Multi stop route / flight planners?

In a few months 7 of us have to make a multi stop trip.

UK > Montreal > Vancouver > UK.

So no return flights as such, we were told that if we did this via Dublin then it might be better / cheaper and may be easier to get into Canada - as it apparently makes sense to do this going to the USA.

I cant see how though as no Dublin flights go to Montreal, and obviously we wish to do this in a cost effective way.

Are there any websites out there that can put together a 'package' for us and arrange the flights or plan it and tell us which flights and companies to use (better)?

After a preliminary search I cant find any one airline that can do all of the itinerary on one booking.

Air Canada and Westjet should be able to quote for this journey.
You could also compare BA for the Atlantic flights and Westjet inside Canada.

Air Transat on the international and AC or WS on the domestic?

The increased hassle of transiting the US (even with pre-clearance in Dublin) is simply not worth it, in my view.

Try Matrix - ITA Software by Google. While a little complex it can help you find the best prices. You can't book with them but you can take their quotes to an agency or airline who should be able to ticket the quote.

It's a pretty straightforward "open jaw"-type itinerary, so most online booking sites (including airlines' own sites) should cope with it. I just stuck some random dates in August into the "multiple destinations" option on ebookers.com and it came back with dozens of options from WestJet (starting around GBP 960, departing LGW) and Air Canada (starting around GBP 1100, departing LHR). You could also try a true open jaw, booking London-Montreal and Vancouver-London on one ticket (should be similar price to a simple return ticket), and booking the domestic sector separately. May work out cheaper - or not.

I am still searching for an online site that sensibly handles more complex itineraries.

As long as it's not too complicated, Google Flights (https://www.google.co.uk/flights ) will do a few sectors (ISTR 6?) - click on the 'Multi-city' tab to enter the routes.

It's worth your while coming through Dublin to the US as you preclear US immigration in Dublin for all US bound flights. That does not apply to Canada bound flights so there's no benefit coming through Dublin to Canada. And as you point out there are no direct flights to Montreal from Dublin.
