Munich Airport Transfer Time

Can't find a thread on Munich anywhere so my apologies to the mods if this is in the wrong place. I have a transfer question. LH selling connecting flights through Munich with as little as 40 minutes between one landing and the second taking off. Is this feasible? Coming from Dublin, outside Schengen? I know Munich has a great reputation but just wondering if this is a runner.

I've done it in 45 minutes and even had time to stop for a beer.

Thanks alserie but you are in the right place. Only airports in the UK and frequently used have their own thread in AA&R.

A friend of mine has done UK to South Africa (LHR~MUC~CPT) with LH a couple of times and reported good connections. Also, if it's a single ticket, they will look after you if it goes wrong.

Thanks SOS. I know they'd take care of me on a single ticket alright. More a case of seeing if it works or if there are a lot of missed connections. Apparently not! Thanks again.

Are you non-Schengen to Schengen? If so you will have to 'arrive' in Schengen (passport control) but I'm sure that LH's MCT (Minimum Connecting Time) would take that into account. If it's N-S to N-S 40 minutes should be fine.

Likewise have often made 'tight' connections at Munich of 40 mins or so. Really is a nice pax friendly airport.

Yeah, coming from Dublin so would clear passport control as I'd probably just be connecting to Schengen somewhere in Europe. From what people say it appears doable and I've seen LH in FRA have people collect passengers at gates to get them to their next flight. Might give it a go and see what happens. Thanks for the replies.
