All three people in front reclined and kept their seats that way even during the meal despite having to reach forward for every mouthful. I so wanted one of them to choke.
I've had worse though. Kuwait Airways cabin crew not bothering to make people belt up or move seats upright for take-of or landing. Worst airline I ever flew with. I'd rather go overland to India.

torot - When a seat won't recline the CC will usually try and find an alternative, well, they used to, but now these "knee Defenders" are widely known about it is the first thing the CC will look for if they receive a complaint a seat won't recline. The CC will then instruct you, (politely disguised as a request), to remove it, if you refuse you are disobeying a lawful instruction from the crew and have now stepped over the line. Just be careful.

You are absolutely correct parabellum and I would comply fully with the CC "request" after explaining my position and asking for a compromise.
The arm rests on the A380 I was on did not fully retract so getting out of a middle seat with the seat in front reclined was really awkward as I had to haul myself up on the back of the seat in front and consequently make a bouncy trip for the reclining passenger. Add to this the reduced foot space because of the AVOD box and you can see my annoyance. Should I find my self in this uncomfortable position again I would politely wake the person in front everytime I want to get up to carry out the recommended anti-DVT exercise. Should this person fail to comply I would call the CC and get them to intervene on my behalf, just as they had already done for the recliner. I know it doesn't pay to piss off CC, but what's the alternative? The CC may then be less inclined to comply with the wishes of the recliners.

Thinking back again to my SIA-LHR flight the new seats were actually very comfortable and the pivot point for the reclining back appeared to be higher than normal. Combine this with the good pitch and knee space when seated was not an issue. I'm 5'10'' BTW. Well done BA. The puzzler was the partially retracting arm rest which is a real issue when behind a recliner. Not so well done BA.
