I think you mean Air Tahiti Nui. Air Tahiti provides feeder service within Polynesia with ATRs etc.
No, I haven't used either ...

Of course you could just hop over to Paris and go CDG-LAX-PPT with them ? The French friends who have used them were full of praise, but in honesty they already live in Polynesia, so might be biased

My experiences with Air France have always been so-so - and a lot of people say they're heading downhill - the idea of spending 26 hours one way (even in Business) on something like the last KLM flight I had is not something that appeals.......................
ANZ are, of course, the airline of choice but I might have some timing issues on that trip

Mr HH, it seems you misunderstood me. Air Tahiti Nui fly several times a week from and to Papeete via LAX to CDG. You have a few choices apart from AF to get back to Blighty including Eurostar.
I've flown with Tahiti Nui on long haul in the A340, economy class. Maybe not the opinion you're looking for as you appear to be looking at the upgraded product (although I did have a good shufty around premium). It wasn't anything out of the ordinary and seemed a pretty standard offering. What do you need to know?
Maybe the nearest you'll get is via YouTube. Have a look at the search engine. (OK some will be advertising a product but you'll get the idea.

thanks folks - I had seen the Air Tahiti Nui flights from CDG but I am probably getting to LAX via stops elsewhere in the USA and Canada
LAX-PPT is only the last part of the trip
A RTW flight might work but it starts getting complicated as I then have to go via Japan, Sydney or Aukland on the way back
The Utube videos are pretty useful - the seats look pretty standard but the general service and food looks quite good
Now to negotiate with InHuman resources whose general idea of long haul is Marbella with Ryanair ..............
