LH A380 New Business Fit
Been to Singapore and back this week (and Indonesia and Malaysia though that's less relevant..) with Lufthansa.
This was my first A380 experience (tried IAH in April last year except German airport workers went on strike).
Had the new Business flat bed both ways though wasn't expecting it as the LH website had the older 170 Deg product listed. It's pretty decent and good sleep was had both ways, there's not a lot of space around head and shoulder areas when fully reclined though this is a minor comment.
Service was good enough, pleasant staff, food good though nothing exceptional.
The A380 seems to rattle and shake a bit when moving on the ground, in the air though it's nice and quiet. The onboard air/humidity experience is definitely an improvement over earlier equipment, I felt pretty fresh after both 12 hour sectors.
On balance I like the 380 for the quietness and environment, for the bed and onboard catering/service I still prefer KLM on the 747 downstairs in the nose, I don't like the BA stare at strangers product at all.
