Verify that you've *definitely* got the booking details right.
If the booking reference contains a letter I, are you sure it's a letter I and not a number 1 ? If you entered a credit card number to access the booking, are you sure it matches that used to make the booking ? Are you sure the to and from airport codes are correct ? Are you sure you have the right date ?
Assuming you're sure it's all correct, turn off your PC and then turn it on again - occasionally Internet Explorer has issues with the Ryanair website when the PC hasn't had a reboot for more than a week (putting a PC into hibernate doesn't count as a reboot)
If that doesn't work, wait 30 mins, and try the Ryanair website again. Verify that if you make a dummy booking for a new flight (don't enter your credit card details), you can see a price as to how much it'll cost - this is to confirm that you can get a response from the reservation system.
Do Independent Holidays, through whom you presumably booked your flight, perhaps have an out of hours emergency telephone number which you can call ?
If that still doesn't let you do a checkin online, then your best bet is to turn up at the airport at least 2 hours in advance, with a credit / debit card and the email you originally received confirming your booking, and possibly pay the extra fee for airport check-in / lost boarding card
Good luck !

Thanks for the quick response. All the details entered seem correct.
I will try the reboot.
The flight was booked by Independant Holidays along with a hotel booking so i didnt actually book the flight myself.
Have the ref from them but wont recognise my email address or credit card details on the online check in.

After the good advice of dj6, it looks like you' re headed for the payment at the aiport. Apart from leaving the extra time, try phoning your agent from the crack of dawn, even as you are on your way to the airport.

I've no experience (by choice!) of Ryanair but I do know a little about online check in systems and DCSs.
In addition to the good advice you've been given by others, can I suggest :
The ticket may not have been paid with your credit card. The t/a may have charged your credit card via an EFTPOS system but they may have paid Ryanair with another card.
There may be a mismatch in your name between what the agent's front office system sent you as an itinerary and what Ryanair have. For example you might be John O'Brien but to Ryanair you are John Obrien. Or it's John Robert Smith as opposed to John R Smith.
Looking for all possible sources of error will drive you nuts. I'd have a good whisky, admit defeat, and go to the airport early and prepared for the worst. You might get a pleasant surprise!
Unfortunately booking through an intermediary is fraught with difficulty.

Take a video recorder and - if it works - Patent itand sell courses in how to charm RYR. You'll make such a fortune that you need never fly with them again ...
... will run the charm over the RYR agents at Stansted
Probably too late now for the OP, but I'd have thought that taking a screen printout of the unsuccessful attempt to check in online with you to the airport would be hard for RYR to argue with (though I suspect they would try it on anyway).
I hope the OP got away OK. I have this idea in the back of my mind that Ryanair are so fanatically anti agency that they will cancel bookings made through agencies (if they find them).

I don't think that's the case, I think the issue with OLTAs related to 'screenscraping' rather than to individual bookings made by an agency for a client.
That said, nothing would surprise me with that shower of brown stuff!

I would do more than request reimbursement. I would insist on it. It's not like Independent Holidays doesn't know about Cryanair's policies. No, they screwed up, and didn't provide you with the information you needed in order to travel.
They should cough up, as a minimum.
You may have to threaten (or even go to) small claims court, but they need to be taught a lesson. They screwed up, you didn't.
