Incident over MAN 29/6/10

Does anyone know of an incident or emergency landing at Manchester International on Tuesday 29th June 2010, approx 9.30pm (BST). Nice relative returned from Rome & outward train was delayed.

She saw the aircraft on approach with a "glowing engine".

Enquiring out of interest.

Thanks

No idea.

But you might want to change the thread title, because I assumed you meant Miami.

Probably the Sun shining off the engine. Not an occurence commonly witnessed in Manchester!

Sorry about the MIA confusion.

Nice relative on outbound train from Manchester, say's the train driver announced they were delayed because of an emergency landing & they were waiting for the aircraft to pass over the line, for safety reasons.

One engine was glowing & doubts that it was reflection of sunlight, though Avman does have a point about the Manc weather!
