iOS7

Just upgraded the iphone to iOS7. Hanging off with the iPad until I check everything works.

AvPlan seems to be fine
DIAL-A-WIS opens but won't dial the number
NAIPS seems to be OK, but I haven't submitted a plan yet.
myE6B seems OK

Anyone else have any feedback?

A feeble attempt to catch up to the green man! :}

Go Navbag go!! :D

iOS 7 seems fine to me. Apple have a good track record of quality new releases, much better than average.

OzRunways, NAIPS, AvPlan, AirNav Pro and V-Cockpit all run fine for me.

You'll have to hang off a while longer yet too... iOS7 has not been released for the iPad yet. Good to hear all is ok on the phone tho :ok:

iOS 7 most certainly has been released for the I Pad.

iOS 7 works on i Phone 4 4S 5 5C and 5S
i Pad 2, i Pad with retina display and i Pad mini.
i Pod 5th Gen.

All available to update from 0300 EST this morning.

RadioSaigon 19th Sep 2013 07:30

Incorrect nitpicker330. Apple have not yet released iOS7 for the iPad. When they do, the devices you list will be supported, but for the meantime at least, it's a waiting game.

Whoops! Thanks fpvdude muy bad. That's what I get for loaning my Mac to my partner... In Germany!

Funny, must be a fake iOS7 my pad is running on then!

Yet another update... has become available via the General/Software Update in Settings on my iPad Mini. Downloading now.

There are now a heap of app updates, which I guess are in response to the ios7 upgrade.

A big change is the ring tone, which takes a while to get used to.

iOS7 for all compatible devices became available at 03:00 Eastern Standard Australian time this morning. You didn't need to plug it in. Just update via Wi Fi.

I did 2 i Phones and one i Pad 12 hours ago.

Also I've been getting App updates for days now in prep for the iOS update.

I installed it and I don't like it, looks like a kids phone.

Must be lots out there doing it as it took three hours to download.

Seems OzRunways has a problem on ios7. If you tap on any waypoint then tap 'Set XXX as origin of plan' the app immediately crashes.

Hopefully can get this one sorted out ASAP

I am very upset because, since updating my iPad to iOS 7 today, my flight sim game no longer enables me to compare my "piloting skills" with other players on a daily basis, but only more crudely over time, thus removing the fun. It is a bit like the BBC News Website, magazine section, changing their weekly Caption Competition, so that all the posts submitted no longer appear, which gave one a sense of public opinion expressed obliquely, but only a half dozen that the moderators, at the end, deem worthy of kudos. The cookie crumbles.

@VH-XXX - that's the idea. Software ergonomics is tricky, making something difficult look simple. Your comment about "kids phone" would be regarded as good feedback.

It's a slick interface in iOS7. The biggest pain is the change in color contract for fonts, which I think makes it harder to read.

The good thing about OzRunways is that it's moving ahead in development like a steam train. The downside is that stability can suffer with all of the changes.

Comparisons

As I have a company and a private iPhone, I installed on one and then went to different pages and apps to compare.

It was a bit strange to have things looking different at first, but it only took a few hours and I came to think the older version looked a bit darker and "cramped." The Photo app is improved, the clock and timer, which I use all the time, new ringtones available, but all the classics retained, Safari much neater, the control panel really a vast improvement. So much changed in a low key, subtle way, but everything improved as far as I have got and everything working.

Akro I use AWIS phone book by Ben Trengrove works fine with ios7. I see old dial-a-wiz isn't even available anymore!
