If anyone has a real interest in stopping the council from destroying the local industry in Gympie, go to changedotorg

Eventually those like the Gympie Regional Council will realise that they have no authority over aircraft that are airborne. That of course will not stop them trying but they will eventually have to give up their little game.

None of the so called 'safety changes' actually change anything apart from a ban on night take-offs and landings, put that down to a win for the anti-noise nimby's. Then again, night approaches can still be flown provided the aircraft departs and arrives from some other airport, just not from Gympie.

Maybe one day councils will stick to their bread and butter provision of services and facilities for ratepayers, you know garbage collection, libraries, fill the odd pot hole in a road and of course, the brown bombers.

I wonder if there is a nice way to tell Gympie Regional Council to nick off out of aviation safety management, they are so out of their depth.

Broken record again,, but until pilots and owners realise that the best way to protect their interests is negative political campaigning - and get good at it at local, state and Federal levels, then the industry is doomed.

To put that another way,, Politicians need to know that doing anything that harms aviation will result in a "don't vote for X" campaign at their next election.

DO NOT GET YOUR LOCAL COUNCIL OR COUNCILLORS INVOLVED WITH ANYTHING TO DO WITH AVIATION, THESE PARASITES ARE CERTIFIED OXYGEN THIEVES!

Talk to any small business in your local area, about dealing with councils, councillors and then the paid gestapo that are employed to make your life a misery.

Rumour has it that one of the local CFI's was one of the main instigators in all of this....

Instead of rumour, why not try facts...

"...Aviation operators are calling for Gympie Regional Council to "immediately rescind” the new safety enhancements at Kybong airport, which they say were implemented without any consultation.

Recreational Flying Company owner Paul McKeown said aviation operators had been "stonewalled” in their efforts to have their concerns addressed by the council.

"Rescind these changes because they weren't done with proper process,” Mr McKeown said..."

Back in my post #30 I suggested that any attempt by Council to implement these misnamed "safety enhancements" would surely be a c0ck-up. It would seem as though that is what we are seeing now.

I am still looking for "a nice way to tell Gympie Regional Council to nick off out of aviation safety management, they are so out of their depth."
