Saratoga incident Darwin this afternoon

Does anyone know what happened . There was news cameras , fire trucks .

My thoughts initially too! Of course it could be any number of other things.

I did the nav light thing once, but fortunately unearthed that snippet of information from some dark corner of my brain, long forgotten, just before I needed to tell anyone of my predicament.

Usually the first thing the controllers here ask when advised of a problem with landing gear indication on a Piper is "Confirm nav lights off"

I seem to remember a similar problem years ago with either a TB10 or a TB20 in the circuit.
