Great War Flying Display S.E.QLD

Hi guys,

we're trying it again, The Australian Vintage Aviation Society (TAVAS) is hosting the annual TAVAS Great War Flying Display at Caboolture Airfield, about a 45 minute drive north of Brisbane.

This is the only place in Australia you can see a collection of flying WW1 aircraft. A lot of other vintage and warbird types flying as well.

There was some really interesting stuff there. The volunteer (I presume) support staff were great too. Worth the entry fee.

Yes guys, it's on again, bigger and better than ever before.

Twice the number of displays, more aircraft in the air and on the ground and one hell of an impressive fly-by of a replica 1918 1 Sqn Bristol F2B Fighter, with a current 1 Sqn Super Hornet overtaking it.

The TAVAS show today was awesome. Weather not a problem. The celebration of the death of the Red Baron and the Bristol Fighter formation fly past with a Super Hornet was great and the SH aero display was just great capped off with a top appearance by a C-17.

Sunday will be great alas no C-17 due operational commitments...
