LogTen Pro on Mac Question

I'm looking at buying it for Mac, not interested in iPad or iPhone versions. All the multimedia online that Coradine has put up shows time logged as leg per leg. So it looks like if I fly a Brisbane return from Sydney the data would have to be entered as something like:

YSSY-YBBN 1.2hrs
YBBN-YSSY 1.1hrs

Rather than:
YSSY-YBBN-YSSY 3.3hrs

Can you configure LogTen Pro so that the flights can be entered the simple old fashioned way? I fly 5 sectors a day I don't want to have to enter 5 different things.

I do that, and just do via if you are doing multi sector days. YSSY-YBBN-YSSY-YBCG-YSSY as an example.

If you use roster busta or something you may find it easier to do it leg by leg.

The iCal exporter can be reconfigured to, but I'm not smart enough

My suggestion would be to get it on a mobile device, much more convenient day to day.

The other thing to consider is if you use per sector logging you can just enter out and in times and it will calculate block time as well as how much of that is night (where applicable of course).

If you are with one of the airlines as ROJ suggested you can use roster buster or airline roster to import your roster into your phone/iPad/portable electronic thingie and then either app will export to logten pro so the hard work is done, all you need to do is enter sign on and off (for FDP calcs) and out and in times (I record OOOI times).

I am not a fan of their subscription model and seeing as I bought the iPad and Mac versions about 3 weeks before they moved to that model I wasn't impressed with being asked to stump up to keep using something I just bought, but they resolved that concern and the app itself is very good.

LongLats, if you enter YSSY as both departure and destination with YBBN as a via point, you can then just enter the total flight time as per your second example. However by doing so you lose some functionality.

If you want to search how many times you've been to YBBN, it won't recognise the via point as a landing point. Also the program won't be able to calculate night flight, which it can do if you enter off blocks/on blocks per sector.

All of my LTP entries up to a year ago were in that format then a pilot I was flying with showed me the search feature, and I now log each sector by block time. On a multi sector day, enter the sign on time on the first sector, then sign off on the last, and it'll calculate total duty for the calendar day.

Cheers Claret sounds like I'd lose enough functionality to defeat the a lot of benefits of the software. Will stick to my pen and paper.

Have a look at mccPILOTLOG. Too. One fee.... FOR LIFE!

I used to use LogtenPro but cant recommend it due to the money gouging attitude of the company...

Mac version is one fee for life. It's the mobile app that's subscription based.
