Sharp Expanding

Word on the street is that Sharp are commencing Essendon-King Island daily double in November.

Does that mean Rex are pulling out of King Island?

Good luck to them, nothing wrong with completion on the route if it's sustainable.

I assume REX are operating the Saab into KII from ML.

When did Sharp stop operating to Hamilton? I thought that was their bread and butter.

fares are now available for purchase if you didn't know, seems like $215 each way when ever from the dates I put in, meanwhile i have sen rex as low as $149 in april 2016. What would be the benefits of sharp to pay so much more?

Tank,

Sharp pulled out of Hamilton in December 2014 and replaced it with Warrnambool in February 2015.

They pulled out of Hamilton I believe at the end of 2014. Apparently falling passenger numbers made it unsustainable, so they moved RPT ops to Warrnambool. They still have the flying school in Hamilton (for now).
