ATC applicant

Hey guys/girls,

I have a CPL and instrument rating now and am hoping to apply to become an ATC. I have been into a tower and chatted to the controllers and would like to pursue this road. Does anyone have any tips or experiences throughout the recruitment process? Would love to hear from anyone.

Also I know this is a GA board but I am looking for Aussie ATC info only so hence why this isn't in the ATC forum.
