The xylophone has bigger fish to fry these days. The RRAT enquiry was just his spring board

Devil

Until such time as the industry can get its collective ducks in line and speak with one strong and united voice, the GA industry as we know it, is doomed.

Certainly we have multiple issues, including CASA who are more interested in regulations than safety (which is a convenient mask!).

Our priority must be to have the Act reviewed.
We also need to conduct a wide PR campaign on the value of GA to the Nation, that includes all politicians from local, state & federal.

You only need to ask who is going to maintain your aircraft in ten years time?? Under the current trend there will not be many LAME's about......!

It is indeed a sorry state of affairs - unless para 1 occurs

Great discussion, and thanks to all who have commented. The industry is in a sad state at the moment and its going to get worse before it gets better (if it ever does!!!!). GA as we know it will be for the rich and us plebs will be flying around in RAS AUS aircraft if we can afford it, and that's not inferring that there is anything wrong with the good aircraft getting around in RA AUS. I am praying that Jabiru can get their problems sorted out as we as an industry really need a good solid Australian aircraft manufacture.

Ducky you are another sucker. Exactly why do you think CASA will allow you to play around with RAA or SAAA aircraft after it has finished off GA???

The answer of course is that they will come after you in due time.

To put that another way! as per the Jabiru precedent now set, your aircraft can simply be declared "unsafe" and there is nothing you can do about it.

Another trick of course would be to massively inflate your costs.

We stand together or we get picked off one by one.

casa is out of touch with the Aviation Industry, as was mccormick

That casa continues in the same vein as before - "....we need more time to respond!! etc, etc....." is shown in fort fumble's latest monthly missive.

There must be two world's Sunny, ours and theirs!!
