Jetpack set for ASX listing . . .
As reported in The Age, this could be an interesting development in recreational aviation . . . they are expected to retail at around $200,000 - see Jetpack IPO set for lift-off with China backer
Good luck with that. I'm not sure which is the biggest risk:
- Technical risk of the product.
- Having a Chinese major shareholder.
- Starting a joint venture in China.
- Having the major shareholder arrange debt funding.
Chances of an Australian muppet shareholder ever seeing a dividend? - Zero.
Chances of the Chinese investor obtaining 100% ownership after the company runs out of money? About 90%.

Couldn't agree more, Sunfish. And I also think that rapid development in drone technology has taken away much of their potential market, for example, of working with emergency services and conducting inspections.
Not if the Captain Ludd and his compatriots have their way

Can't wait to see how CASA will regulate the use of these things.
Not sure about strapping a Chinese-made jetpack on though. If the quality of the utes are anything to go by, CASA will be too busy to worry about real aircraft!
