Vale Ian Byrne

I was fortunate enough to go to the only high school in Australia teaching an Aviation studies course in which we studied principles of flight, navigation, crafted models, built the schools own lightwing aircraft which was used by some students to get what was a the time their ultralight pilots license. A number of students went on to the RAAF.

All that was made possible by a man recently lost in a RA crash. He was an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher and played a number of other roles in the community including being an officer in the army reserve and with surf life saving.

Vale Mr Byrne.
