Tiger Job Advert

Hi everybody . Just saw the Tiger Advert looking for Crew. I am currently in Asia and would love to get back home.
Anybody got ideas on the Pay and Roster ? Would it be possible to commute from Perth to Melb ?
Any input would be great !!!
Thanks

Pretty sure it's for MEL and SYD.
Don't work there but from what I know I reckon commuting from PER would be a struggle, you'd be better off (lifestyle and financially after commuting costs) with one of the PER based mobs.

Would not mind moving to Syd or Melb, as Perth is not a cheap place anyway. Anybody know how much the pay is at Tiger Oz ?

At least they are up front in their advert advising to "be prepared to fund your own A320 TR"

They do have base in Melbourne and Sydney but if you follow the link to the Tiger careers page it specifically reads they are recruiting for Sydney base.

Ask yourself why, given that they're operating about half the number of aeroplanes they were prior to the grounding, they are advertising for crew. That's all the info you need right there.

From the AFAP website:

Tiger Airways is one of Australia's fastest growing major domestic airlines.

A bit of a stretch ?

"Be prepared to fund your own A320 TR"....???? How about this.....Nobody apply for it and wait for THEM to pay for it. Another whore airline helping to drag down the pay and conditions for everybody in this industry. Don't complain about it if you're willing to pay for it yourself.

Do you still have to pay for the psychometric testing yourself? was some $270
If successful do you get an actual job offer or a wait and see letter?, subject to you buying a rating...

Make them pay for it?

So it's ok for Virgin and Jetstar to make you pay for your own rating but not Tiger?

Before anyone jumps in with the salary sacrifice argument that still means you pay for it.

Can someone teel me why this thred was moved to the GA section? I would think that any A320 command positions in Australia would be appropriatly placed in the airline thread. Or is it not important to QF and DJ people?

Whilst salary sacrafice is still paying for it, it's a hell of a lot easier than coming up with 30 odd K up front, also no risk with the ATO.
Do VB/Jetstar make you pay for you own uniform, car park, food, etc or has this changed at Tiger ?

I thought it was moved because paying for your uniforms, work lunch and type ratings does mean its GA...
