Permanent residency NZ

I'm a swede and have this dream of moving to NZ and fly for Air New Zealand in their turbo prop fleet.

I submitted my application but ticked the box "i do not have permanent residency in NZ"

I got a email saying that i need permanent residency to be considered for the job.

Now here comes the big issue. On NZ immigration site, the only aplicable visa I found for "permanent residency" was only for two years AND you must have a job offer from a NZ company before you get the visa.
It looks lika a big catch 22!

Does anyone know how I can get my visa for permanent residency, get the job at Air New Zealand and get my dream?

Your best bet would be to go onto the NZ Immigration website and see how you can qualify. You need a certain amount of 'points' before you can qualify for Permanent Residency

Or you could just marry someone. Kiwi's are a liberal lot. They're even in to civil unions nowadays.

On a reciprocal note, how does one (Kiwi, over the age of 28) manage to get EU residency withoout a job?
