Yes, my i Phone 4 has been slow a few times. I've downloaded all the App updates it asks for but its possible not all Apps have been tweaked for iOs5 yet.

Did you re-download the maps? As mentioned above, you need to. If you don't, we get the tiles live from teh Interwebs, which will be slow.

Jaba, you should have gotten an email about the new beta. That should fix it for you. The quicker you test it, the quicker the rest of the good folk here will get it.

"Map Loss" happens when you update iOS to 5.0. Simply updating OzRunways won't make you lose your maps.

Only caveat: this is a beta, anything can happen. ;-)

Lancair: does it crash when you try to start a download, or when simply tapping the "downloads" item on the config screen?

Things to try:
- Restart the iPad again
- Delete the app and re-install from the App Store. (This will lose your user waypoints)

Hi baswell, it was crashing as soon as I hit the downloads button. Ive tried turning the iPad off and on but its the same. I have only one user waypoint so far so no big deal, Ill try deleting and re-installing from the app store now and let you know.

EDIT: Have now tried deleting the app and reinstalling ti from the app store but it still crashes as soon as I click the downloads button. Ive read other have got it working ? ? Fortunately for me, Im grounded after hernia repair surgery for another few weeks so Im in no hurry for it to be working. But I respectfully suggest to others who do need to use it with downloaded maps, dont do the update to iOS5 until the fix for Ozrunways is available. It appears to be working fine otherwise.

Lancair

Lancair: what about when you try to just use the app without downloading anything? Can you see the list of airfields? Can you view any ERSA entries?

Yep, as I said it seems to work normal other than can't download the maps etc and the AIP serach just stis there and does nothing.
Can see the maps and airfields, ersa entries etc online.

Attempt to download and the whole propgram just quits completely and instantly you hit download button.

I had a similar problem after a reinstall of the App until I changed my username back to what it originally was, then away it went.
