Humpho, our dearest mate of many around the Sunshine Coast is not likely to see any of 2014. Or not in a capacity he would wish.
Truly sucks according to everyone I have spoken to today.
I have been so privileged to have him as a friend and mentor for many years of late. I should be pleased to know him, yet so sad to know his days are but few.
To all that knew him and Jan, and their family who are heavily in aviation, this is a surreal time.
Humpho.... We love you mate.
Our thoughts are with you and everyone else in the greater Humpho network.

Graeme is ex TAA, Singapore Airlines and then I think a related carrier or freight operation running B747's. Did a bit of PNG stuff too.
He decided to retire early in 97 after too much travelling from Brisbane to work.
He is not that old either
If any of you know the family, drop them a line. They are a great bunch.
The guy you might be thinking of died earlier this year i believe, and his name escapes me right now but Peter Fogarty perhaps?

Family members of Graeme wish to advise any former colleagues and friends that he has deteriorated in his battle with secondary prostate cancer.
His cancer has spread to the brain and is very aggressive in nature. He is not expected to survive beyond the next week.
Graeme began his flying career in the Australian/ PNG GA sector before starting with the ex TAA (Trans Australia Airlines), then Australian. Post 1989 he moved on to Singapore Airlines, then Air Hong Kong. In retirement he has been an active member of the Sports Aircraft Association Australia and regularly kept the logbook ticking over in his home built Vans RV6

Sad news. Flatted with Graeme T.A.L. 1969 in Mt Hagen. He had been flying an Aztec for Avis on the Innisfail-Dunk Is. run. He was with TAL until going to TAA in early 70's. A postal address for Jan via P.M. would be appreciated.

That is correct. Peter Fogarty passed last year.
I saw Graeme at Murgon for the Christmas fly-in, it's such a shame to see, a true gentleman and a top bloke to boot.
Graeme has had a long time association with the Sunshine Coast Aero Club and he'll be truly missed around the place.
His association with the SAAA will also be dearly missed.

Update
Sadly, Graeme passed away this evening. His family wish to thank everyone for their kind words and support throughout his battle with Prostate cancer.
The amount of people who visited him in hospital in the past two weeks was very humbling.
We will all miss him dearly.
